Wendy P. Lewis, CPA, is an Office Managing Partner in KPMG’s Audit Practice. She has more than 20 years of experience providing financial statement and audit of internal control services to both public and private companies. Additionally, Lewis has participated in client filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and has been involved in mergers and acquisitions. She previously completed a three-year rotation in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice in New York where she provided assistance in technical accounting, reporting and auditing matters to audit engagement teams.
Lewis is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Black Accountants. She was a 2019 recipient of the Style Weekly Executive Women in Business Award and the 2019 Virginia Union University Outstanding Alumni Award.
Her community activities include serving as a board member of the Howard University Middle School for Mathematics and Science, the Richmond Public School Education Foundation and the Ruth Coles Harris Leadership Institute.
Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Union University.
