
June W. Jennings, CPA, worked in state government for 36 years, including serving as Deputy Secretary of Finance under three Virginia governors. She has a strong background in auditing and investigations and has worked closely with elected and appointed government officials to implement recommendations to improve state agency operations and internal controls.
Jennings previously worked part time at the Virginia Board of Accountancy as an enforcement investigator, giving her firsthand experience with the operational and administrative responsibilities of the agency that supports the board.
Jennings is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Association of Government Accountants. She served as past president of the Greater Richmond Chapter of the AGA.
Her community involvement includes serving as treasurer on the board of directors of Postpartum Support Virginia, a statewide nonprofit organization providing mental health resources to parents and families. She has also volunteered as a warmline coordinator for PSVa, answering calls from parents regarding postpartum issues.
Jennings is an avid runner and has finished many races, including two marathons.
Jennings holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Radford University.
